Kruger Untamed: Satara Plains Camp offers an enchanting seasonal wilderness retreat, operating annually from May to September. It offers phenomenal access to one of the most exceptional wildlife regions in the Kruger National Park – one that’s globally renowned for its big cats, huge herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as other predators like painted wolves (African wild dogs) and spotted hyena.
The camp is located in the heart of the Satara region, famed for its lions and other apex predators, a few kilometres from the Kruger National Park’s Satara Rest Camp. It provides a unique base from which to explore this legendary area, with the fabled S100 route that follows the course of the Nwanetsi River close at hand.

The larger and more social of the two Kruger Untamed camps, with 30 tents set across open savanna, it’s well-suited to groups, families, couples, and solo travellers, creating a welcoming atmosphere where people come together to share in the adventure.
The base rate includes one daily game drive, with the flexibility to add extra drives or book guided walking safaris in advance, both at a surcharge, allowing guests to shape the experience to their own pace.
